Last of Us PS4 Port Possible

There has been a specific change in the way Naughty Dog are answering questions about a potential Last of Us port to PlayStation 4. Coincidence, or are they really paying attention to the thousands asking for a 60FPS, full HD version of the best selling Sony exclusive? If it’ll sell…

It’s true that, to begin with, the question of a PS4 port was largely met with very certain statements, certainly things that would make you question whether it was ever going to be on the cards. In answer to a PlayStation Blog user, however, things seem to have changed. When asked whether those that have “switched teams” this gen will ever get to play The Last of Us, Eric Monacelli answered almost teasingly.

We’re just getting our Naughty Dog engine up and running on PS4 as we work on the next UNCHARTED project. We will see what the future brings! 🙂

There’s little denying that Naughty Dog did amazing things with the PlayStation 3, but there were definitely times that the ancient hardware started to show through. It’d be nice to see what they can do, even technically, by opening it up to new hardware, even if no additional material was added.

The Last of Us was released last year to critical acclaim. The first DLC will be released early 2014.
