Munch’s Oddysee HD not currently coming to PC, May Do Later

Munch HD - PC

Stranger’s Wrath HD was a superb re-release of an tragically underrated Xbox game, and the fact it came to PlayStation 3, Vita and PC was very satisfying. Munch’s Oddysee HD was due a similar second chance, but unfortunately one of those platforms has had to be dropped… for now, at least.

PlayStation 3 owners originally got Stranger’s Wrath HD, and it was later ported to PC. Owners of the Oddboxx – which contained the original Stranger’s Wrath – got the update for free. The Vita version – which is available free on PlayStation Plus next month – was released later on.

With New ‘N’ Tasty in development, Just Add Water have had to make a compromise. The Vita version of Munch’s Oddysee HD has taken longer than expected but will release hopefully quite soon (an exact release date will come later). The PS3 version will be getting a fairly major patch as well, as soon as it passes Sony’s QA. The PC version has been put on the backburner, perhaps never to be taken back off.

This is disappointing but understandable news. The Oddworld series continues in its revival and if I had to pick, I’d rather have New ‘N’ Tasty than Munch HD on another platform.

For more information on the PlayStation 3 patch, and on the Vita version of Munch’s Oddysee, check out the official Oddworld site.
