FuturLab Announce Surge Deluxe

surgedeluxe_690x391

FuturLab announced last week that they’d be revealing a new game. If you loved the addictive PlayStation Mobile title Surge, you’ll be desperate to get your hands on Surge Deluxe, a new remake for PlayStation Vita. The updated game included PlayStation trophies and leaderboards, as well as several fixes to scoring and to the way you’ll be chaining blocks for big points.

Surge was well received when it first came out, a lead player in proving what the PlayStation Mobile platform was capable of. This was especially important on the Vita, where the idea of quickly available, relatively cheap mobile-style were definitely needed at a time before the indie boom really kicked off.

It worked out for FuturLab anyway, and Surge quickly became the talk of many a gaming community.

Although it’s very much the same game, Surge Deluxe builds upon the success (and criticisms) of Surge and hopefully makes it an even better game. New features have come directly from feedback from the community, and although some are only small, the changes are more than welcome.

Surge Deluxe will release on PlayStation Vita in early 2014. No price has been announced yet, but it’s probably fair to guess that it’ll be within the same range as Coconut Dodge Revitalized (around a couple of quid).
