Final Fantasy X/X-2 English Trailer

FFX2HD12_690x388

Fresh out of TGS, Square Enix have released an English version of their new Final Fantasy X/X-2 trailer. It shows off a little from X and a little from X-2 and shows off some of the battle sequences we can expect to go through when the Remastered pack launches this Winter – perhaps a confirmation that it won’t be available until next year.

The trailer also shows off some of the newly remixed music, which some were a little worried about when it was first announced. Why change a good thing? The answer has been plain and clear in the last few trailers – the new tracks are fantastic. They retain the same greatness as the original score, but have been made bigger, more effective. It was an interesting move by Square, especially when they could have just released the game at a higher resolution, and it’s awesome that it seems to be paying off.

Although the video above largely focusses on Yuna and Tidus, we also get to hear a little from the other cast members as well. The only obvious missing voice was that of John DiMaggio who played Wakka and Kimarhi. It’s odd that neither character got to speak, but I don’t suppose that means anything very much.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 Remastered Collection will be available to purchase on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this winter.
