Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Available from Steam

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition

The Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for PC was one of the worst kept gaming secrets of this year. Now, however, it’s out and it’s available to buy from Steam.

Available for £24.99, the Komplete Edition includes everything that was released for the game – all the extra kostumes and kharacters are available right from the base game. There’s also leaderboards and achievements available from the official Mortal Kombat website, so get in quick if you want to pretend you’re awesome at this game before the core crowd turn up and take over the top ten.

“Adapted” by High Voltage Software – their word, there – the new PC port is most likely the very best way of playing Mortal Kombat 9. With decent hardware, both graphics and framerate will be flawless, the latter especially important for fighting games (although I couldn’t knock the console version either).

Alongside the release of the game, Warner Bros. have made a new trailer. It shows just some of the brutal action you can expect if you decide to pick this one up.

Mortal Kombat is one of the biggest fighting franchises around, thanks in part for it refusing to shy away from graphic content at the beginning of the 90s. It’s had highs and lows as a franchise, but Mortal Kombat 9 was seen as a triumphant return to form, and there’s no doubt that the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will be a must-buy for the newly burgeoning PC fighter crowd.
