Lootaku July 2016 Review – Dragon Ball Z

Lootaku is continuing its trend of doing boxes themed around a specific universe, and this month is no different with the Dragon Ball Z box. Even though I’m nut a huge Dragon Ball Z fan, I really do enjoy getting figures; although I was sceptical of this months box, I was much better than I imaged. Again, Lootaku is definitely one of the more expensive boxes out there, but when you see what’s inside, you can definitely see why! Check out our full review with pictures below the video.

Dragon Ball Z Hat

It’s always good to get the worst item in the box out of the way right away. To be fair, this isn’t a bad item, I just don’t ware hats. This will ultimately either go to a friend who collects hats or one that really enjoys Dragon Ball Z. The quality of the hat is better than most I get in subscription boxes, so you know they are not cheaping out in that regard. Although this item is not for me, I can see the value to someone who really likes Dragon Ball Z!

Dragon Ball Z Hot/Cold Mug

I love coffee mugs, and will collect any mug that looks cool. This is a mug that look cool, and has the built in hot/cold functions that you see on many nerdy cups. These types of mugs are becoming more popular with the nerd community, but I have never seen this one around before. I already have a few of these – my favorite being my PacMan mug, but this one will get lots of use, and soon…like right now!

Small Figures and Collectibles

Off the top, I said I wasn’t a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z, and was skeptical of whether or not I would like this box. The one thing I really like getting in subscription boxes are figures, and it doesn’t matter what kind or brand. In this months box, I got these two great little figures and a Dragon Ball Z…ball, on a keychain. The figure on the far left has interchangeable hands – you can see the other hand options on the base – which can be swapped in an out to give your figure a different look. The figure in the middle came out of a blind box, and is actually the one I prefer the most. Like I said, not a huge Dragon Ball Z fan, but I like that figure. The key chain is a…well…key chain. It has its uses, but since I’m not going to walk around pretending I know what’s going on in the universe, it probably will stay in that box.

Large Dragon Ball Z Figure

This type of figure is why Lootaku is so costly.
