GTAV trailer was PS3 footage
Ever since the simply outstanding GTAV trailer was released earlier today, fans were slightly sceptical of what they saw. The 4 minute video featuring gameplay by Michael, Trevor and Franklin seemed too good to be true. From overwhelming new features such as hunting and stock exchange to the beautiful graphics, the game felt like something you would see on a next-gen console or high-end PC at the very least. It’s definitely not something you would associate with current gen systems. Forums all over the internet have been expressing their concern that perhaps the game shown in the video was in fact PC footage rather than console footage.
Well fans can now be rest assured – particularly PS3 players – as Rockstar have earlier confirmed in the comments section on their Official Site that everything shown in the GTAV video was captured from a game running on a PS3 system.
Good news of course. However,that does not necessarily rule out a much requested PC port of the game. It was reported earlier this week that R* are looking for coders needed for ‘porting one of our games to PC’. A PC port, while not on the cards right now, will likely appear 6-12 months after the game’ console release.
GTAV will release on September 17th for PS3 and Xbox 360.
