Bungie Release Destiny Story Trailer

destiny-2_690x338

Destiny was always going to be at the Sony presser, and they finally got around to revealing some of the story. So far we’ve seen chunks of gameplay and not much else. Even the actual form the game will take has been vague – at least now we know what we’re aiming towards.

It’s a pretty obvious sci-fi story, all to do with saving the human race from a vague, slightly scary sounding threat. Travel the universe, kicking butt and taking names.

To be fair, this trailer has done more to get me excited for Destiny that two years of teasing  and marketing. It helps that the narrator sounds almost identical to Peter Dinklage.

Andrew House later said Destiny would define the next generation of gaming. PlayStation gamers will also be the first to get a hold on the Destiny beta next month.

PS4 players, on this Thursday, may also get a chance to take part in the Destiny Alpha.

If that isn’t enough for you, Sony also announced a special Destiny Bundle. This’ll be the first place you’ll be able to get a white PlayStation 4, and it looks pretty gorgeous.

In other words, this is a big game going forward. And now, after this trailer, perhaps we understand why.
