Red Dead Redemption Coming to PC?

reddeadredemption

Red Dead Redemption was one of the best games of the last generation, but one thing was missing. Rockstar never bothered to bring it to the PC, despite almost every other one of their games coming to Steam. Even Grand Theft Auto V is heavily rumoured to be on its way, but still no word on John Marsten. That might be about to change.

If you search for Red Dead Redemption on the Windows Compatibility website, you’ll find an official page on which you can vote for how well the west-em-up works on PC. This comes with the caveat that nobody has actually played it on home computer, so it doesn’t really make sense for it to have an official page. A hint at something to come, or a mistake by some overly hopeful IT operative?

Well, if it’s the latter, nobody can blame them. It’s well overdue and something that desperately needs to be preserved now that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are quickly becoming consoles of the past. With a boost in graphics and a thriving modding community, Red Dead Redemption could find a whole new life on PC, and it might even convince Rockstar of a sequel. At this point there’s nothing official, so we can only hope.
