Playstation Plus – June content (EU)

playstation-plus-logo

As usual the Playstation Plus content for June adds 5 free games to the Instant Game Collection. 3 for PS3 and 2 for PS Vita. Complaints about the lack of RPG games in the IGC seems to have gotten through to the people that matter and this month 2 RPGs are given for free to subscribers of the excellent service. Even though this is the June update much of the additions will get added on May 29th.

For Playstation 3

First up, for PS3, we get the outstanding Ico/Shadow Of The Colossus Collection from Team Japan. In Ico players control a horned young boy (no I said horned) as he tries to lead a young girl to freedom and away from the clutches of evil. This PS2 classic is still, to this day, hailed as one of the systems most influential games.

In Shadow Of The Colossus you play as Wanderer as he wanders a vast wasteland in search of giant colossal beasts to slay in an attempt to save the girl he loves. With gorgeous visuals and a fantastic and exciting story it’s hard not to get emotionally attached to the wonderful Shadow Of The Collossus. If you have’nt played it before, now is your chance to experience one of the PS2’s best games.

Also free next month is EA’s RPG adventure Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. This epic RPG follows the story of a resurrected hero known only as ‘The Fateless One’ as he embarks on a journey to discover the secrets behind his own fate.

Kingdom Of Amalur

Finally this month for PS3 comes the critically acclaimed Demon’s Souls. This utterly brillant RPG places you in the dark and dangerous kingdom of Boletaria as it’s overrun by a fog that brings forth demons that feed on the souls of mortals.

For PSVita

Gamers on the move don’t get left out this month either. The side-scrolling platformer Rayman: Origins from Ubisoft will be free for Vita players in June.

Last but not least comes Coconut Dodge Revitalised. This HD remake of FuturLab’s classic mini brings it’s addictive gameplay and crisp visuals to the handheld system.

Discounts

Not everything can be free but discounts are a very welcome addition to the service too of course. Over the coming weeks expect to see discounts including, 70% off Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and 40% of Germinator. Also be sure to take advantage of the 20% launch discount off Metro: Last Light starting this friday.
