Far Cry 5 DLC Coming June 5 – Going to Vietnam

When I heard there was going to be Far Cry 5 DLC coming, I assumed that at the most, we would be exploring a different part of the United States that was also being threatened by a cult, and at the least, we would have more adventures within Hope County, Montana. I was incredibly misinformed and flat out wrong, as the newest DLC pack for Far Cry 5 – launching June 5th – will transport players to Vietnam!

If you’ve played through the entire campaign of Far Cry 5, you’ve run into Wendell “Red” Redler, a former US soldier now living out life in Montana. Red was one of the more interesting characters you crossed while playing the game, and the developers have felt his story requires a bit more content. So, as Red, you will march through the jungles of Vietnam, working to free your comrades from capture!

Here is a bit from Ubisoft on the DLC,

Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness transports players into a war-torn Vietnam as they relive the harrowing experience of Wendell Redler from the main campaign of Far Cry 5. Playable in solo or online co-op, Hours of Darkness transports players from rural Montana to a dangerous jungle where they must rescue imprisoned squad mates, wreak havoc on the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army, and fight to get back home by any means necessary.

Ubisoft has promised new gear and abilities as well, which is a welcome. For those who have completed the entire game, you have likely unlocked everything and will be looking for something new to play with!

Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness will launch on June 5th, and can be accessed via the games season pass – 39.99. Are you jumping in?
