Adam’s Venture Origins First Impresions

Adam’s Venture Origins might not look the best, and may have some issues that make it a bit rough around the edges, but it does an excellent job of mixing adventure and puzzles in a title that is sure to impress. If you have longed for a puzzle game on Xbox One, and can’t seem to find the desire to work through some of what Telltale is offering, I strongly recommend Adam’s Venture Origins.

To be frank, I am not that far, yet. But I will quickly finish this title, and it will be completely worth. The various puzzles I have already comlpleted have been really great. Not difficult, but great fun. Whether it was matching historical figures to specific icons, moving tumblers to solve locks, or trying to arrange sliding ladders on a tall bookcase, each puzzle has been different, and very accessible.

My wife, who won’t often watch me play games, has been watching me make my way through Adam’s Venture Origins. Sometimes she criticizes my game play, and the decisions I make, but together we work through it all.

We will have more on this title in the near future. I’m really enjoying it, even though I find some of the animations and graphics sub par at best. Don’t let that turn you off, however, because this title is one that will impress many.
