Xbox Live Having Problems After Titanfall Release

titanfall 11

It looks like Titanfall might have had quite the launch. With so many people logging on Xbox Live to download patches and shoot each other up from massive death robots, the online service has come to a grinding halt. Sorry, that’s not quite how the official channels have put it – Xbox Live Core Components are currently limited.

From the technical page of the Xbox Live Status site:

Are you having difficulties signing in to Xbox Live? We are currently engaged and our team is hard at work to get you back online. Thanks for your patience while we get this fixed. We’ll update you again in 30 minutes.

It’s no surprise. Titanfall was always going to be a popular game, essentially a Call of Duty title for the people that no longer feel comfortable playing Call of Duty, as well as those that are finished with Ghosts and are happy to have a new title to play. It was a clever piece of positioning, to launch six months after.

With all those people looking to get onlineĀ right now, you might want to add a little while onto your Titanfall time, or if you’re just interested in playing something else online. It seems you might have problems connecting.
