Tony Hawk Returns In New Title

tony hawk

Tony Hawk has let slip that he’s been doing some motion capture for an upcoming title in his long-running sports title. The famous boarder probably got a few angry calls once the news hit that he’d opened his mouth a little too early, but Activision later confirmed that a new title was in development and that more news would be shared at a later date.

Talking about the top-rated Pro Skater series on SiriusXM, Hawk made sure there was no room for confusion:

We’re working on a game, we are working on a game, it’s pretty cool.

He and his co-host then went on to discuss the motion capture process, specifically the large, full body suit that’s required.

The 45 year old still do personal appearances and private shows all over the US, although he’s been retired from professional competitions since 1999. The Pro Skater series, and its spin-offs, were highly rated at first and regularly rank amongst the best sports games of all time. In recent years they’ve dropped off a little, and have been placed alongside Guitar Hero as great franchises done to death. It seems Hawk and Co aren’t ready to give up though, and want to skating for victory.
