Nintendo Direct Announced for Tomorrow

Nintendo-Direct-Logo_690x431

Nintendo have announced that they’ll be airing a new Nintendo Direct tomorrow, focussing on titles that’ll be available by the end of Spring 2014. No further details have been released, but you can bet we’ll get another long look at Donkey Kong, and maybe even a little about Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It’d be nice to learn something about Mario Golf as well, although that seems to have disappeared entirely at this point.

This is the first Nintendo Direct of 2014, and the first since we’ve learnt a little more about just how badly the Wii U (and Nintendo, in several areas) are doing. It’s also the first since Nintendo announced they’d be licencing out their characters to third parties, although it’s almost certainly too early to hear about any of that just yet. Expect a focus on small but exciting announcements, things to get fan’s blood pumping. There may not be many AAA blockbuster reveals (although it’d be nice), but Nintendo will want to cement the idea that things are actually happening, despite a fanbase slightly worried after the Watch Dogs delay was announced earlier this week.

The Nintendo Direct will focus on Wii U and 3DS games due out by the end of Spring 2014, so you can expect information on titles from the next four months. That’s an awful lot of time for already announced titles, but perhaps not enough for something out of the blue.
