Sony Announce PlayStation Now Subscription

Now-Sub

Since the launch of PlayStation Now in the US, fans have been calling for a subscription to be added to the service.

Rather than paying for one Cloud-based game – sometimes paying more than you would for a physical copy of the title – fans wanted to be able to access every title at a single price.

Now Sony have announced that they will indeed be adding a monthly pay scheme to their Gaikai built system.

For $19.99 a month, you get access to 100 PS3 titles, playable first on your PS4 but eventually on every Sony enabled device. This service will only be available in the US at first, but should be available worldwide as the Now service expands.

Games include things from franchises including Sly Cooper, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Sonic the Hedgehog, Batman, Saint’s Row, Resident Evil, The Last of Us and more.

The service will launch on January 13th and a discount is available if three months are bought at once. No information on international prices has been announced.

The mix of games are sure to be a hit with fans. There’s a good variety of adult and more family friendly titles, instantly opening up the platform to the entire fanbase. While the price may have been more than Netflix-lovers were expecting, for the right person the value is undeniable.
