Xbox Game Pass Subscriber? Get New Releases Free

Xbox dropped a major bombshell today, announcing that those who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass will get new release titles 'free' on day one. So, if you are a subscriber, you can play Crackdown 3 on launch day, etc. For a long time, gamers have discussed the idea of 'renting' games from companies for a long time. Xbox Live and PS+ do this in a way, allowing you to keep playing the free monthly titles as long as you are a subscriber, but this is taking it to a different level. Free games each month are never new releases; this will be.

Three Things Assassin’s Creed Origins Doesn’t Need…But Would Be Cool

Assassin's Creed Origins is easily one of the best games released in 2017, and it has even taken my top spot amongst Assassin's Creed titles since the original, topping my previous all-time favorite, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. From start to finish, exploring Ancient Egypt and removing its citizens from the grasp of a tyrannical leader was an amazing experience. With so much to do, there really was never a dull moment. Quests were varied, and the chance at rare and legendary loot made me explore every nook the game had to offer. When we look back at past Assassin's Creed experiences, however, there were some game play elements that were never added to Origins. We decided to look at 3 changes Assassin's Creed Origins could have made, despite not needing to!

Xbox Kinect Officially Dead

Despite stopping production on the Xbox One Kinect in November, Microsoft was still pumping out the adapters necessary to play the Kinect on the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X. Well, they were at least, until this week when it was announced that they have also ceased production on that item as well, officially killing the Kinect. This should come at no surprise as many wondered why the Kinect made the generational jump from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One in the first place. Regardless, it really is a good feeling knowing this aspect of Microsoft's home console is gone. That's not a slight against Xbox either, but rather, a chance for the company to shift focuses.

Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft Consumer Report – From Least Concerned to Most in 2018

When the clock ticks past 11:59 PM on New Years Eve and everyone celebrates a new year, its hard not to reflect on the past year, and what’s to come, whether in our personal lives, professional lives, or even our gaming lives. Nintendo easily won 2017, despite Sony having a really good showing, and although Microsoft launched a new console this year, it seems to have already sold the bulk of its units to early adopters, as sales have drastically trickled off. But what does 2018 have in store? Can Nintendo maintain - let alone build on - the successes of 2018? Can Sony build on a very solid 2017? And can Microsoft do anything to bring fans back? Let’s break down the big three and where they will sit in 2018!
