NHL 16 Early Impressions, Issues with other Reviews

NHL 16 is a fabulous NHL game, probably the best EA NHL title to date. However, building off EA's first next (current) generation title, NHL 15, wasn't hard. EA learned from NHL 15 and provided a new, better product for hockey fans around the world.

Nintendo Names new CEO

Nintendo Tokyo named their new CEO yesterday and it isn't really who many people would have expected. Tatsumi Kimishima will take over top duties at Nintendo, replacing fan favorite Satoru Iwata after Iwata suddenly passed a few weeks ago.

Super Mario Maker has Day 1 Update

If you read our Super Mario Maker review, you will see that we loved the game. It does almost everything right, and very VERY few things wrong. While it's less a game and more a giant creation tool, it will easily become on of the best games available on Wii U.

Indie Corner: Whispering Willow

Microsoft has been pumping the Xbox One marketplace full of indie titles, and every time a new one lands, we try to cover it here at Games Reviews. This past week, the developers of Whispering Willow sent us a code for their title, and we jumped in right away. What you will find in Whispering Willow is a sometimes confusing, but generally straightforward, puzzle solving game. With a walkthrough, this could be completed in just a few hours. It took us around 5. For 9.99, there is definitely value in this little game.

Xbox Preview Program gets X360 Borderlands

Backwards compatibility is rolling out to all Xbox One user this holiday, but Microsoft has been busy ironing out all the kinks through their Xbox Preview Program. Today, Microsoft announced that all of the Borderlands games on Xbox 360 will no work on Xbox One, and this is great news considering the next Borderlands title is still a ways off.
