The Colonists Review

Released late last month, The Colonists is a casual city builder from the one-man, UK-based indie developer Codebyfire. Inspired by classic games such as The Settlers and the Anno series, The Colonists adds some welcome twists and innovation to a genre that at times can fall into a very repetitive pattern.

Civilization 6 on iPhone is Still Fantastic

Despite the small screen size and clutter user interface, playing Civilization 6 on the iPhone was still a fantastic experience, which is forcing me to backtrack comments I made via twitter about the game. We all know how fantastic the Civilization franchise is, and it's been a staple on the PC for over a decade. Now with the franchise available on iPhone and iPad, consoles, and the PC, there literally is no excuse for anyone to not give the game a try.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – Episode 1: Starting a Game – Nintendo Switch (Video)

I have heard of Sid Meier’s Civilization but I’ve never played one of the games. I assumed it was a lot like Sim City. I was kind of right and kind of wrong. Here’s a video showing off Sid Meier’s Civilization VI for the Nintendo Switch! I have some thoughts on it after the video. The story in Super Dungeon Tactics isn’t that great. Its very basic actually. What saves it from being boring is the game’s sense of humor! The character dialogue is pretty funny. Those who have played Big Pharma will notice striking similarities within Megaquarium, particularly in the controls, graphics and UI. However, there are some major differences as well, and fans of a more traditional tycoon experience may be in for a few pleasant surprises. Now, on to the review!

Super Dungeon Tactics Preview

In Super Dungeon Tactics for the Nintendo Switch, the player takes control of a band of heroes who are trying to protect a small village from the creatures that want to destroy it. The game is a strategy rpg in the vain of Disagea or Final Fantasy Tactics. I received a review code for Super Dungeon Tactics and have been playing it a lot. Its a fun game so far, but be warned: its a tough game too. Super Dungeon…

I love turn-based strategy games. And amazingly, the Nintendo Switch has a bunch of them. Another one was added to the list last week: Into the Breach! I received a review code of the game and have been playing it. What do I think of Into the Breach? Here’s my review! There is sort of a story in Into the Breach: basically some creatures are coming up from underground and your timeline jumping crew has to stop them. If the…
