More Thoughts From Me #142: Just Dreaming About Dreams For the PS4

I don’t have a Playstation 4. This doesn’t mean that I don’t care about the system however. I keep my eye on games for this system and for the Xbox One. One of the games that I think sounds the most interesting for the Playstation 4 is Dreams. Media Molecule, the creator of LittleBigPlanet, is creating a brand new game where you can create your own levels. Well, its more than that even. Let me tell you more about Dreams…

Fullblast

The 2D space/air shooter genre has been around since the early days of arcade games. The basics of the genre haven’t changed much, mostly its the graphics that have changed. Fullblast for Nintendo Switch is a new 2D shooting game that takes place on Earth and has you controlling an aircraft thats taking on some aliens. The game doesn’t have much of a story, though 2D shooters rarely do. The important thing here is whether Fullblast is a fun game…

Mega Man 11 Demo Impressions

Last night, a demo of Mega Man 11 was released on the Nintendo Switch. I downloaded the demo, beat the demo, and now I have some impressions of it! I suck at Mega Man games. I have never been good at games in this series. Though I do like Mega Man, he just isn’t my favorite character (he is cooler than Sonic!). And so you can imagine when I heard there was a Mega Man 11 demo on the Nintendo…

Strange Brigade Review

Rebllion is know for creating some over the top gaming mechanics - trust us, there is nothing more satisfying then a headshot in the Sniper Elite series - but has often opted to create serious missions with unique gameplay elements. Enter Strange Brigade, with lots of over the top mechanics; however, the realism of World Wars has been replaced with the craziness of treasure hunting, complete with undead, scarabs, and much more. Can Rebellion swap out serious story telling for an over the top, unbelievable adventure? Let's take a look!

Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 Video

Nintendo of America had a indie showcase video today. We have the video below and my thoughts on it. I thought todays Nindies Showcase video was ok. Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with most of the games. The two games that stuck out to me were Into the Breach (out today!) and Treasure Stack. I love tactical rpgs and puzzle games. I’m also interested in Hyper Light Drifter and Undertale. I’m not sure about many of the other games. Still,…

Nintendo Switch Indie Highlights Video

Nintendo UK had an Indie Highlight video today. You can check it out below and then please come back for my thoughts on this Indie Direct. The Nintendo Indie highlight video was not announced. It was a complete surprise. Also surprising was that three of the games shown in the video: Bad North, Prison Architect, and Morphies Law came out today! I thought the video was pretty impressive overall. Nintendo Switch is getting a ton more Indie games for the…

Paladins Impressions

Recently, Paladins came to the Nintendo Switch as a paid experience. Not too long after that, it was released as a free-to-play game. I downloaded the free version and have been playing it some. What do I think of Paladins? Is it a good game? Should you play it instead of Fornite? Here are my impressions of Paladins for the Nintendo Switch! Paladins is a free download on the Nintendo Switch right now. So of course I downloaded it to…

Paladins Can Now Be Downloaded For Free On Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch has now become the home of some pretty interesting free-to-play games. Fornite is, of course, is the top free-to-play game on the Switch. Its a lot of fun too. I also like Fallout Shelter. There are other free-to-play games but those are ones that have my attention. Joining the ranks of free-to-play on the Switch eshop today is Paladins! A pay version of Paladins came to the Nintendo Switch this summer and today, a free-to-play version is available.…
