More Thoughts From Me #132: Lego (DC) Villains Attack!

Traveler’s Tales always does a great job with the LEGO games. Soon there will be another game added to the franchise: Lego DC Super-Villains! This one is a bit different though! Why? Lets take a look at Lego DC Super-Villains! Lego DC Super-Villains looks like it’ll be a little different from the usual Lego video games. In all the Lego games so far, you started out playing as one of your favorite heroes (or characters from a movie like Star…

Flipping Death Review

Earlier this week, I wrote about Flipping Death a bit. It is currently available on the Nintendo Switch eshop. Thanks to Zoink! Games though, I was able to play the game early. And what I found was…well…check out my review to find out what I thought of the game! Flipping Death’s story is nuts. It is just really weird, strange, odd, silly, and completely wonderful. I love the dialogue in this game especially. Flipping Death has a unique sense of…

More Thoughts From Me #131: Severed Thoughts

There were a lot interesting indies on the Wii U and sometimes, some of them came to the 3DS also. One such game, that was on both the Wii U and 3DS, was Severed. I recently downloaded the game for 3DS thanks to My Nintendo, which has it up for Gold coins. Here are my thoughts on Severed for the 3DS. Severed, right from the start, is a very strange game. You are in first person mode, so you don’t…

Death Flips Out: A Look At Flipping Death for the Nintendo Switch

Penny dies. Game Over. Well, ok, not exactly. Penny dies, becomes a ghost, runs into Death and then becomes Death. Wait, what?! Welcome to the delightfully odd world of Flipping Death, which I got to play early thanks to Zoink! Games. These are the same people who brought us Stick It To the Man. My review of Flipping Death isn’t ready yet but I thought today, the day of the game’s release on the Switch, would be an excellent day…

More Thoughts From Me #130: Time For Adventure…Again!

Captain Toad is at it again. Nothing can keep Captain Toad away…from adventure! I played Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the Wii U. I loved it there. And I was excited when I heard the game was coming to the Switch and 3DS with four brand new levels (based on Mario Odyssey). I recently got Captain Toad on the Switch! I haven’t played the new levels yet but I have been replaying levels that I played on the Wii U.…

Hello Neighbor Preview

So your neighbor may have committed a crime. Possibly a murder. You see him doing something fishy in his house. And so you call the cops right? Wrong! Instead of calling the cops like any sane person, you decide that you must sneak into your neighbor’s house and find out what exactly he was doing. Crazy right? Its also the premise for a brand new Nintendo Switch game called Hello Neighbor. Its coming out tomorrow, but I got an early…

Bomb Chicken Review

Thanks to a freak accident, a chicken suddenly doesn’t lay eggs anymore…he lays bombs! Bomb Chicken for the Nintendo Switch is an odd game. I wrote about it in a preview. And now my review is done and we can finally find out: which came first the bomb or the chicken? Wait. No. We’ll find out whether or not I recommend this game! There isn’t much of a story to Bomb Chicken but that shouldn’t be a surprise: this game…

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – Super Mario Odyssey Levels

If you've owned a Nintendo Switch for some time, you've likely played a fair bit of Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo return to 3D Mario platform gaming. And the wait was definitely worth it, as Super Mario Odyssey was one of the best Mario games ever released. Captain Toad on Nintendo Switch really wanted to take advantage of that, so instead of having 4 levels from Super Mario 3D World - like on the Wii U - the Switch Captain Toad release has given us 4 Super Mario Odyssey levels instead, from the Cascade Kingdom, Metro Kingdom, Luncheon Kingdom, and Sand Kingdom.

Bomb Chicken Preview

Let me tell you the story about a chicken who can lay bombs instead of eggs. This chicken is crazy. It blows up enemies, walls, uses bombs to reach higher places, and solve puzzles. The story is called Bomb Chicken. In fact, its the story of a brand new indie game that just came out today. I received a review code for the game and I’ve been playing it. Let me tell you a bit more about this bombtastic game.…
