Nintendo of America had a indie showcase video today. We have the video below and my thoughts on it. I thought todays Nindies Showcase video was ok. Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with most of the games. The two games that stuck out to me were Into the Breach (out today!) and Treasure Stack. I love tactical rpgs and puzzle games. When Captain Toad first launched on the Nintendo Wii U back in 2014, it received the utmost praise from most major outlets, our included, but that wasn't enough to get people to buy the game. And in reality, that wasn't the games fault, but rather, the lack of Nintendo Wii U systems in the wild. Fast forward to 2018, and with the popularity of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo was giving Captain Toad a second lease on life. Was it worth playing again? Has anything really changed? Let's dive in!

If you've owned a Nintendo Switch for some time, you've likely played a fair bit of Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo return to 3D Mario platform gaming. And the wait was definitely worth it, as Super Mario Odyssey was one of the best Mario games ever released. Captain Toad on Nintendo Switch really wanted to take advantage of that, so instead of having 4 levels from Super Mario 3D World - like on the Wii U - the Switch Captain Toad release has given us 4 Super Mario Odyssey levels instead, from the Cascade Kingdom, Metro Kingdom, Luncheon Kingdom, and Sand Kingdom.

Although Crash Bandicoot has been a Sony mascot for years upon years, Activision has broadened the horizons of the loveable character and brought him to the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, making Crash 1-3 officially playable on all three major companies products. While the game looks better on Xbox One and Ps4, there is something special about playing it on Nintendo Switch.
