Paper Mario Color Splash Never Takes Itself Too Seriously

If there is one thing that you can always count on in Paper Mario games, its that the games will have a dash of humor and always keep things light. In Paper Mario games, you just never know what wacky character or place you’ll visit next. From what I’ve seen of Color Splash so far, this is more true than ever with Nintendo’s newest entry in the series!

Paper Mario Color Splash never takes itself too seriously. You can see all kinds of humorous and just plain strange things in every trailer Nintendo has released for the game. One of the standouts for me has always been Mario’s new paint bucket companion! That can is so weird and funny. I also like how many of the toads have funny dialogue and even the villains are not to be taken too seriously.

The Kooplings have never been genius villains and thats made even clearer in Color Splash! For instance, one video I saw made it pretty clear that Morton was not the brightest of his siblings. Though, it doesn’t look like any of his siblings are too bright. Still, you wouldn’t want to turn your back on any of them! You’ll have to use some of those cool special cards in order to defeat them and other major challenges in Color Splash.

I don’t want to give too much away about the special cards, but if you’ve seen the videos that showed some of them off, you’ll realize that they add to the humor too. Some of the cards are just plain bizarre, while others will tickle your funny bone. There’s just so much humor on display in Color Splash. I can’t wait to dig into this game and have a good laugh.

I hear that the writing in Color Splash is really good. I will be getting a copy of Paper Mario Color Splash and doing a review of the game. I’ll let you know if the humor in this game lives up to my expectations!

Tomorrow, I’ll be back with another Paper Mario Color Splash preview. I want to talk about the other Paper Mario games and how Color Splash is different from them, but also similar in some ways. Where does Paper Mario Color Splash fit in this series paper thin history? I hope you come back and join me tomorrow for more Paper Mario goodness.
