Nindies@Night 2016 Recap – Interviews & Highlights (Video)

During PAX 2016, Nintendo held a Nindies@Night event showcasing upcoming Wii U and 3DS indie games. Yesterday, they brought out a video recapping the event! The video and my thoughts are below. Which Indie do I think looks the best?

PAX 2016 has come and gone. It was over so quick! But Nintendo doesn’t want you to forget about anything, especially not the upcoming Nindies, so they put together a recap video for their Nindies@Night PAX event. Please take a look at the video and join me after for some thoughts on it.

A couple of games that are already out, Axiom Verge and Jotun: Valhalla Edition (its great), were talked about in the video. However, most of the other games are ones that are not out. I was impressed by all of the games, but I admit it was Gurumin 3D that got my attention the most. I love rpgs and Gurumin 3D looks like it’ll be a really fun rpg. And in the video, they said it’ll take you 35 hours to complete the game! Thats pretty great for a download only game. Gurumin 3D is supposed to be coming soon, although there is no release date for it yet.

I should definitely mention that Severed and World to the West looked good too. We won’t see World to the West till next year, but I believe Severed is supposed to be coming this month. It looks very unique. Although I have to admit that I literally said “WHAT?!” out loud when they said you cut off the limbs of your enemies and then use them to upgrade yourself. I’m not even sure where to begin talking about that. So I think I’ll just leave you with that sentence and you can make of it what you will…

There are a lot of interesting indies coming this year and of course no video can cover all of them! Which game in this trailer did you like the look of the most? What other Wii U and/or 3DS indie games are you looking forward to!? Sound off in the comments!
