More Mario Incoming after Nintendo Direct

When Nintendo isn’t developing some kind of Mario title for their flagship consoles, you know there is a problem. Thankfully, no problem currently exists as a slew of Mario related titles either received major updates, given release dates, or were formally announced during the Nintendo Direct. From new content in Mario Tennis Aces, to a release date for Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story, to a formal announcement for New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, there was a lot for Mario fans to be excited about, going right into 2019!

Updates for Mario Tennis Aces

Nintendo has always been great about free DLC for their many games, and that trend continues as new characters gear up to hit the courts in Mario Tennis Aces. All-Around character Birdo is joined by Technical masters Shy Guy and Koopa Paratroopa. If that wasn’t enough, the once boss, but now Powerful tennis pro, Petey Pirahna, is also going to be coming. Players can unlock these characters by playing online!

Also added to the game is a cooperative challenge mode, that will allow friends to team up online to take on a number of in-game challenges together. Cooperation is the key here!

Release Date for Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey

It’s not often that Mario and Luigi team up with Bowser, but that is definitely what will happen when Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story launches in January of 2019. Play through a typical Mario and Luigi RPG experience, with the aid of Bowser, to take back the kingdom. Like with the last rerelease of a Mario and Luigi title, an additional game mode will be added again, this time giving Bowser Jr. even more time to show what he’s made of. His fiery temper and selfishness will quickly get him in trouble however. Can you help Bowser Jr. successfully complete his journey when his experience, Bowser Jr.’s Journey, launches alongside the main game?

Announcement of New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe

If you happened to miss out on New Super Mario Bros U back on the Wii U – and don’t feel bad, because many people did – then you are in luck! Nintendo is bringing the game back to the Nintendo Switch in a brand new Deluxe version, putting together the original game and the Luigi additions into one package. On top of that, new abilities for Toadette will help players quickly complete levels, especially when the challenge becomes to difficult!

Further Details on Mario Party

We at GamesReviews continue to be excited about Super Mario Party. Nintendo has done everyone a service by returning to the games routes, and reintroducing 4 player games minus the communal vehicle. As more details for this game get released, we get even more excited! We hope to review this title ahead or around the October 5th launch date!
