Impressive Looking Gods: A Preview of Jotun: Valhalla Edition

Recently, Gamesreviews.com received a review code for Jotun: Valhalla Edition for the Wii U. I knew a little bit about the game and the mythology behind it, but I wasn’t prepared for what I saw when I started playing the game. My review of Jotun will be next week; for now I want to give you a preview of this wonderful game.

I know a bit about Norse Mythology. I took a college course once where we had to read a book all about Thor, Odin, and the others. It was very different what we’ve seen in popular media, such as Marvel’s Thor. I found it very interesting, although a bit tough to read at times. So I didn’t go into Jotun: Valhalla Edition without a little background on the Gods I’d have to impress. Even so, I wasn’t prepared for how impressive Jotun: Valhalla Edition would be!

Jotun is a game steeped in Norse Mythology. Everywhere you look, you’ll find another wonderful part of the lore brought to life. This isn’t Marvel’s version of Norse Mythology. Instead, you get something that is very close to what was written down in that book I mentioned. The vistas are massive and there’s a lot to see in this game. I was blown away by Jotun’s visuals. From the amazing environments to the jaw dropping bosses, you have to see this game to believe just how good it is.

You don’t have to know anything about Norse Mythology to enjoy this game though. All you need is your eyeballs and your hands. Pick up the gamepad and get thrown into the world of Jotun: Valhalla Edition. The game will introduce you to the landscapes, gods, giants, and other things you’ll run into. Impressing the gods is a mighty task, but I believe in you! I think you’ll be just fine!

Jotun: Valhalla Edition came out today on the Wii U eshop. Please come back next week to find out what I thought about Jotun’s story, graphics, gameplay, and sound. I have a ton more to say about this game. I want to play Jotun a bit more though. I’m not done impressing the Gods and they are not done impressing me!
