Video Game Entertainment Aboard the Disney Dream

In a few months, I will be heading down to Port Canaveral, Florida to hop on Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream ship for a 4 night sailing to the Bahamas. This will be my wife and I’s 5th time aboard a Disney Cruise Line Ship, and we are thoroughly looking forward to experiencing everything on board. The ship has changed since we were on it last, so that is definity one thing I’m really excited to check out. However, for you guys, I’ll be taking a closer look at all the wonderful video game entertainment options available online, and trust me, there are tons of them!

The Disney Dream continues the Disney Cruise Line tradition of blending the elegant grace of early 20th century transatlantic ocean liners with contemporary design to create one of the most stylish and spectacular cruise ships afloat. From my time on various Disney Cruise Line ships – Disney Dream, Disney Magic, and Disney Wonder – I know that having video game options for parents and kids alike is something Disney loves to provide for their guests. While some may think playing video games on a cruise isn’t something you’d likely do, think again. I had the same thought on my previous cruises, and always found my way over to the Nintendo or Xbox sections to play some games with my kids. There is something inherently different about playing games a sea!

On the Disney Dream, children experience a whole new way of playing together with exciting virtual experiences and immersive activities in a high-tech interactive space based on the Disney Infinity video game. The virtual gameplay experience comes to life in the real world when kids step onto a life-sized Disney Infinity Base and take the place of character figures for a group gaming experience unlike any other. From Xbox to Nintendo, and from Disney Infinity to LEGO Marvel Avengers, Disney has tons of onboard video game offerings that you won’t want to miss out on. Couple this with fantastic cruise itineraries, and other great on board entertainment, and you will quickly realize why I prefer to sail with Disney Cruise Lines over other companies. While we will be looking at, and reviewing, the video game portions of the Disney Dream in late September, we will also do a full ship breakdown for those interested in booking a Disney Cruise Line Vacation.

If you want to learn more about the various ships and itineraries Disney offers, check out the official Disney Cruise Line webpage!
