Online Gambling Software Suppliers Explode

There was a time, not too long ago, when the online gambling world was dominated by just a handful of software providers. Players who liked playing slots online spent almost all of their time playing games built by Microgaming, NetEnt, and IGT. Titles from other software companies either didn’t measure up or, more often, never came up at all. No more.

A new crop of software companies has sprung up in recent years – though they may not have the established name-recognition of their forbears, they are making a name for themselves by challenging the existing gaming giants, and occasionally beating them at their own game. Players who don’t know these companies already will want to take note without further delay.

Latest iGaming Providers on the Rise

Among the strongest of these new companies is Booongo, founded in 2015. It is a perfect example of a company breaking the mold: while their mission is centered on the online slot player and casino operator experience, they also offer fully integrated, 24/7 technical and management support to platforms presenting their games, responding to a need previously left unmet by industry giants. What’s more, it regularly breaks new ground in several facets of game design, most notably graphic design. Many of their slots feature 3D, interactive, and/or HD graphics, and are usually available on computer, tablet, and mobile devices. Some of the titles innovate with respect to other elements of design, such as Thunder Zeus, where the reels are divided like cracked stone, each operating independently of the other until they are reunited in the bonus game. Some have criticized Booongo’s games for being stingy on payouts, which is a fair point. Overall, though, this is a company that more than lives up to its promise of being “a new vision in e-gaming.”

Red Tiger Gaming is another new, worthy contender on the scene. Founded in 2014,  the games are already featured on 17 of the casinos featured on latestcasinobonuses.com, including heavy hitters such as Betfair, Paddy Power, Betsafe, Coral, and PokerStars. Theirs is a professionally diverse team, with veterans of casino game development for European and Asian markets specializing in everything from software development, coding, and mathematics to psychology, gambling expertise and game theory. This leads to a unique perspective on gaming, with rigorous attention paid to the finer points of gaming: Red Tiger calls this “the science of fun.” Interestingly enough, this doesn’t always lead to innovative gaming: many of their slot themes strongly resemble those of other successful developers, from their Wild Fight, reminiscent of Bruce Lee, to their holiday-themed offerings. With that said, the quality of graphics and gameplay is at or above the level of anything from the more established industry powers, and they continue to grow.

Continued Growth

These are by no means the only new companies worth watching. There has been encouraging growth and innovation from Chance Interactive, Magnet Gaming, and Fugaso, to name just a few other upstarts. Neither does this indicate problems for the original industry giants: NetEnt, IGT, and especially Microgaming continue to grow and enjoy pride of place within the online gambling industry.

Rather, the across-the-board growth of the industry has allowed a flowering to take place, with new blood and established companies alike enjoying prosperity and growth. This allows for diversity among software providers that seemed unthinkable even a few years ago and heralds a bright future for the online gambling industry as a whole.
