Nintendo Plans for E3 Not Just Zelda

Contrary to early reports – which, frankly, were circulated by Nintendo themselves – Nintendo’s E3 presence will not only include Zelda, but a host of other upcoming titles as well. Rumors began to swirl earlier this week when Nintendo announced how much floor space they had booked for E3, and this morning, the news of more offerings was officially announced.

Yes, Zelda Wii U / NX will dominate the show floor as Nintendo really wants to get their biggest Zelda title ever into the hands of consumers to generate even more hype. But we shouldn’t forget the other big titles coming yet this year, most notably Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Pokemon GO!.

According to Nintendo, both titles will be shown off during Nintendo Treehouse events throughout the week. That is not all however, as the company also announced events for Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, and more.

Either Nintendo had this plan all along, or the outcry from fans that this could possibly be the most boring E3 in recent Nintendo memory has spurred a change in approach. Now, the focus won’t be directly on Zelda 24/7, but will be broken up by bouts of Pokemon, Monster Hunter, and other upcoming titles.

Don’t be fooled, however; E3 2016 for Nintendo will focus heavily on their upcoming Zelda title as this is what fans really want to see. With the announcement already far in the review mirror, fans have been itching to see actual extended game play footage, as well as get the opportunity to try the title themselves. This month will show how far Nintendo has come, or how much they might disappointed.

We are excited for the new Legend of Zelda, and will have extensive coverage of those announcements, trailers, and gameplay sessions here on GamesReviews.com
