Geek Fuel May 2016 Unboxing and Review

We are back with another subscription box unboxing video, and this time it is Geek Fuel’s May 2016 box with items from Deadpool, Game of Thrones (unfortunately not in mine!), Uncharted, and more! This was our first time looking at a Geek Fuel box and apparently we got set up just in time to get what might be the best subscription box from start to finish that I have ever seen. Thanks to Mike over at Geek Fuel for hooking us up with this box to review. Our full written review is below the video! You can get your own box at Geek Fuel!

The box this month was super heavy, and mine was heavier than most people’s because, well, I got two of the pint glasses. Frankly, that does not disappoint me that much because these glasses are outstanding. The Geek Fuel mascot all by itself is awesome, so I have no problem having them on a few beer glasses in my cupboard. I do think my wife might disagree…

The Uncharted treasure Chest with Drake’s ring was by far the coolest item this month. While the craftsmanship on it is a little suspect – mind you, that could be just mine – the item itself is super cool and I will totally be placing that on my gaming shelf when I move into my new house. The chest is cool, the ring is cool, and Uncharted is cool. Another slam dunk from Geek Fuel, and an item definitely in the running to be featured in our Top 5 Subscription Box items for May 2016!

The Steam title included this month looks like it could be a lot of fun. Since I have never played it, the best I can do is lift the description direct from Steam:

Play as Doug McGrave, famous demon hunter for hire. Highest level, bestest gear, ruggedly handsome, and unrepentant jerk. For refusing to aid one stinking demon-infested town, you are immediately – and deservedly – cursed. Your powers, your wealth, and your weapons… Poof!

Although I’m not a huge fan of Deadpool, I know people who are. They have already seen my video and mentioned how and unique those two items really are. I’ll take their word for it. If you are into Deadpool, you will find these items great. Others might consider these two items as box fillers. To each their own I suppose!

Finally, the two Uncharted 4 prints are outstanding little pieces of art that will most likely find a home in my gaming room really soon. I really enjoy these types of items because 1) you generally can’t find these if you tried, and 2) it is really something you don’t know that you want until you have it. I have them now, and I’m really excited about that!

Overall, this is an outstanding subscription box in my opinion, and the bar has been set very high. I thought I would be dissapointed by a lack of my tShirt, and perhaps Geek Fuel will send me one. If they don’t, I’ll be fine with my two Geek Fuel themed pint glasses. Bottoms up!
