More Thoughts From Me Special Edition: An Awesome New Nintendo Direct

There was a Nintendo Direct today and as the title says “It was awesome.” How was it awesome? Did you even watch that Direct? If you didn’t, check it out below and come back for my thoughts on what was shown.

Today’s Nintendo Direct is the best one we’ve had for awhile. I was amazed by so many of the things we’ve saw.

First of all, I am a huge Warioware fan. So the announcement of a new Wariorware game for the 3DS got me excited right out of the gate for this Direct. These games are so fun and perfect for the system.

I am also excited that Luigi’s Mansion from the Gamecube is coming to the 3DS. I know its just a port but it looks really good. And speaking of ports, CAPTAIN TOAD IS COMING TO THE 3DS. Yes, I did have to use caps. That is a huge deal. My dad is a 3DS player and I’m pretty sure he’ll get it. I am very interested for the Switch version. Thats right, CAPTAIN TOAD IS COMING TO THE SWITCH TOO. Love the look of the new Mario Odyssey levels.

On the Nintendo Switch, we got a lot of announcements. My favorite were Okami HD and Crash Bandicoot Trilogy! Both of these games coming to the Nintendo Switch is amazing. I’m also excited about the Dark Souls Network Test because I’ve never played that game before and I want to check it out.

Mario Tennis isn’t my cup of tea and yet I will have to check out the Online Tournament before launch. I love that Nintendo is doing more and more betas.

Little Nightmares is another title that impressed me. I have never heard of that before and I really want to play it.

We also finally got a release date and official title for Square’s upcoming rpg! Its called Octopath Traveler and it’s coming in July. It will have a fantastic looking special edition too. I want that!

There was so many different things in this Direct. I’m sure I’m forgetting something…

Oh right! SMASH BROS IS COMING TO SWITCH! Yes, it’ll likely be a port of the Wii U game but come on. It’ll be awesome. Plus Inklings coming to the game. And I’m sure there will be other new characters and levels too.

And I don’t have Splatoon 2 but that single player DLC looked great.

Sure, yes, there were disappointments. Dragon Quest 11 for the 3DS was not shown. No Animal Crossing Switch (not that I expected it). The 3DS games could’ve have been a bit better overall. Can’t say I’m excited for Inside Story 3DS.

Overall, though, I really loved this Nintendo Direct. It was so. very. awesome.

What did you think of today’s Nintendo Direct? What game are you looking forward to the most?
