Marvel and Square Enix Announce Avengers Video Game

Marvel and Square Enix announced an Avengers video game today. We don’t know much about the game yet, but you can find what little we know about the project below.

Marvel and Square Enix announced a “multi-year, multi-game licensing agreement to develop and publish original games based on beloved Marvel Super Heroes” today. The agreement will start with a game based on the Avengers.

Here’s what Marvel said about the Avengers game on their website:

“The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed s,with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come. More details on The Avengers project and other games will be announced in 2018.”

Crystal Dynamics, creators of the Tomb Raider series, will be developing the Avengers game. No systems have been announced for the game and most likely won’t be till 2018.
